The Theoretical Approach of Indigenization of Chinese Protestant Theology in the First Half of the 20th Century

From the early 20th century, Chinese “Indigenous Theology” served as main line in development of Protestant theology. It represents an important orientation communications between and Western culture well modern thought. Indigenous Theology was theoretical result combination religious spirit thought, with a strong background traditional culture. Its purpose to interpret develop thought within frame culture, mainly Confucianism, construct native Christian theology characteristics. As will become obvious, construction caused theology, its fundamental "Dichotomy God Man" pattern “External Transcendence”, Theology, grounded on "Unity “Internal Transcendence”.
